Garrl was a Wookiee Jedi Master and High Councilor of the New Jedi Order. He served on the High Council throughout the entirety of its existence and led in both ExtraGalactic Invasions. After that, he retired from the Jedi and lived his remaining years on Kashyyyk.

Early Life[]
Garrl was born in a slave community of Wookiees on Trandosha. However, he escaped slavery as a young adult by becoming a warrior for the Trandoshan slavers. Thus, he was never given to the Jedi, and he managed to escape the purge of the Wookiees by the Empire.
Young Jedi[]
Garrl was discovered by Luke Skywalker in 9 ABY and apprenticed to him. A few years later, Garrl was a master himself and training apprentices of his own. When the Jedi Council was formed in 18 ABY, he was chosen as one of it's members.
